With over 20 years of medical expertise, Dr. Vinay Kumar Shaw is a highly skilled laparoscopic, gastrointestinal, and bariatric surgeon. Throughout his career, he has successfully treated approximately 10,000 cases and has been affiliated with several esteemed healthcare institutions. He previously served as a Consultant at Medeor Hospital (formerly Rockland Hospital) and Medanta Medicity, Gurugram.

Dr. Shaw specializes in Gastrointestinal, GI Oncological, Minimal Access, and Bariatric Surgery. He earned his Master’s degree from GMCH and further honed his skills in laparoscopic surgery at the Institute of Minimal Invasive Surgery, AMRI, Kolkata. Additionally, he completed a three-year senior residency with teaching experience at VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital—one of the largest multi-disciplinary tertiary healthcare institutions in the region. His passion for Minimal Access Surgery led him to pursue advanced training in South Korea.

An accomplished academician and researcher, Dr. Shaw has contributed to several indexed journals, including the renowned British Journal of Surgery. He is a sought-after faculty member at numerous national scientific conferences and was awarded a Travel Grant by the International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenterologists, and Oncologists (IASGO) in South Korea.

Dr. Shaw is recognized for pioneering the HAP (Hug and Push) technique for Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, which he presented at the prestigious National IASG meeting at AIIMS, New Delhi, as well as the International Congress of the European Association of Endoscopic Surgeons.
